Urgent question- sterilisation using milton?

Ok my steam steriliser broke and I had milton tablets so I threw one into a 5 L metal pan of water and have been using it all day- But I just saw online that you can't use metal with milton- anyone know why this is? I am slightly worried it may not work or something?

not sure but it probably corodes it / some chemical reaction

I believe it attacks the metal and may cause corrosion (if the pot corrodes you may contaminate your bottles with metal flakes)
