My LO has been in mostly Carter's clothing, but now that he has filled out a bit, the long & lean sizing isn't working out as well.

Also, although I love their younger baby clothes, I'm not that fond of their older baby {12 mo+} clothing for boys.

He's 8.5 mo old & his 12 mo-sized wardrobe is starting to get snug, so now I'm trying to figure out if a different clothing brand might be better for his next wardrobe.

I was wondering what your favorite baby clothing brands are & why?

How does the clothing wash compared to Carter's?
(seems that Carter's shrinks a ton, but the fabric is 100% cotton & super soft, which I like)

How does the clothing fit?
(Carter's always seemed long & lean to me...)

If it matters, I did look into OshKosh, but really dislike logo clothing & I'm not into putting him into denim.

If it matters, I mostly shop online, so the brand being consistent in quality is a huge factor for me.
TIA

I've found koala baby (bru/tru brand) to fit my long/lean baby perfectly. Carters will be long enough, but way too roomy in the waist, but Koala Baby fits great. Cherokee is sized too large in length and waist in my experience.

We had one sleepsuit in 9m by Zutano Blue and the fit was much chunkier than Carter's. I don't know if they go up past 12m, but I really liked it for my chunky boy. Also 100% cotton. I think it is a little more expensive but I try not to buy anything at full price so I'm not sure.

I have a girl, but my take on things:

Gap stuff seems to have a bit of give in it and washes really well. They email 30% off offers about once a month too so I never buy anything full price from there.

I love baby Zara. They fit true to size, wash brilliantly (though most of the clothes require air drying not tumble drying) and ship everywhere in the YS. Seriously stylish!

Ralph Lauren baby is okay but I've got bored of the styles now as they haven't changed them in a year. Fits true to size and also washes/ dries well without shrinkage. Lots of emailed 30-40% off offers too once every three months or so.

Polan o Pyret does beautiful brights for boys. High quality stuff!

And Tommy Hilfiger has the odd lovely piece too.

You could try some British brands that ship free to the US: Next and Marks and Spencer's both do and the quality is similar to Carter's.

These are the only brands my son wears:

Carters
Old Navy
Ralph Lauren

Seems to fit well for us but my son is on the shorter and smaller side

I love crazy 8! I shop there for LO (8weeks) on up to my oldest (7).
Their clothes are super cute and they have such great deals with amazing specials always going on.

Oh, I forgot to mention Tea Collection and Splendid too! On the pricey side but worth it- both are American brands.

Also, take a look at jojo maman bebe and boden who deliver to the US.

I shop lots of random brands too through Nordstrom as they do free delivery and returns 100% of the time and always only sell brands that use good quality fabrics (it seems!)

I'm all about Gymboree and The Children's Place when it comes to clothes. My 11 month old LO wears 18, 18-24, 24, and 2T, and I've liked their styles quite a bit.

I use the Carter's onesies (typically a size up) as undershirts for the winter. Love their material. But they do seem to run a bit small in size.

I like gymobree(sp?), baby gap, old navy , and 77kids (no longer around..children's place brought them out)

but I don't have the money, so I get whatever is on sale including kmart and walmart.

I like Carter's, Naartjie, Kohl's brand (it's called Jumping Beans) the Target Brand and Babies R Us brand run way too small and they never fit even right when I buy them.

Old Navy is good but runs really small....Carter's still seems to be spot on right now for my LO, she's 28 inches long and 21 lbs

I find that Carters shrink too! Someone told me it was all in my head, but I swear all my LO's Carters clothing shrinks! I agree about their 0-12 months stuff being better than their older stuff.

I really love Gymboree. I found Nextdirect online and their clothes are amazing, but again they're better under 12 months.

My LO wears mostly Carter's, but I do like the Kohls Jumping Beans brand also, and they are roomier than Carter's,

I've found that Carter's runs really small. My girls outgrow Carter's before any other brand. My absolute favorite is Circo at Target. It runs on the larger side and although my girls are wearing 3month clothing now, their newborn Circo outfits still fit fine (the sleeves are getting a bit short though). :flower:

I love Baby Gap and Cotton On Kids for little boys.. their things are pretty true to size for us.

Also forgot to mention I like the walmart brand.....the pajamas are like $5, and they are a good fit. of course there is no walmart near us so don't get them too often

I loved Circo when my LO was younger for that reason! Great for the little ones with a bit of room!

Can't stand Carters either. It's a shame as I find their clothing is adorable but it's def. long & lean, not suitable for my boys who are short and stocky.

I find the best clothing tbh to just be the Wal Mart brands... Wal Mart, always for the portly ;)

I like Oshkosh for overalls and American Apparel for basics, too.

Hanna Anderson is pricey, but is seriously wears like iron and is worth it if you are planning to hand stuff down to younger siblings.
