US vs UK views on waterbirth

I had to stop watching because it was making me angry.

I had a water birth and it was fantastic, I didn't even have gas and air. How can they say it's dangerous because the water isn't sterile!? Do they sterilise the air in delivery rooms? They sound like my nan when I told her 'It isn't safe, the baby might drown...' blah blah blah

I love hearing people tell me the baby will drown.....what do they think it's breathing in the womb?

I know I loved having that conversation when I told people I was having a water birth

'Ohmigod but isn't it dangerous, wont the baby drown!?'
'What does the baby live in now?'
'Water?'
