Hope you don't mind me popping over from 2nd tri. I was wondering if its safe to use "used" bottles? My SIL had twins two years ago & has a bunch of bottles. They're Dr Browns & the angled playtex ones. I was planning on buying new nipples for them. Do you think its safe to use them or should I buy new?

There's nothing wrong with second hand bottles. You're going to wash and sterilise them before use anyway! New teats are a must though.

The only other thing to consider is whether they are BPA free, and if you're still OK with using them if they aren't. BPA is the gender bending chemical that was in the news a year or two ago, and isn't used now. It's hard to describe the difference unless you can see them side by side, but the BPA free ones are usually softer and cloudier in appearance.

Make sure they're BPA free hun and also check them for any cracks/scores etc in the inside of the bottles as bacteria can breed in there. I usually replace all bottles and the teats every couple of months :flower:
