Using Ovulation Predictor Tests

Just ordered my first lot of these so forgive my ignorance, when should I start using given I don't really know my cycle. Can I just pee on it or do I have to pee into a pot and then put stick in pot.

I have only done these once but you have to pee in to a cup and dip the stick in there up to the test line.

I started testing on about cd9 thinking i will ov on cd14 i've got pretty regular cycles though so have just tested on day 14 before and got a +.

I pee in a pot and dip it in

I always use a pot cos I can't pee straight lol!

How long are your cycles roughly? Longest/shortest? xxx
