Hi ladies!

My baby girl is being Christened on Sunday :happydance:
I am wearing a white dress! and guess who showed up yesterday?! ah yes Aunt Flo!

I dont want to use a pad just incase so planning on using tampax, i havent used any since before i was pregnant and im scared! lol

Will it hurt of feel different????

I used tampons for the first period after I had my DD. I bled for 6 weeks after the birth, then it stopped and 2 weeks later I got my first period and I had no problems at all with the tampons. I didn't even have to use a bigger size to what I used before and it didn't hurt!

thanks for posting this! I was thinking the same thing this week! I used pads for the first af after birth but I really really hate using pads as I have always been a tampon girl - can't wait to return back to normal!

I tried last week and it was too uncomfortable, i could feel it there in place (does anyone know why i can feel it?). Will try them again next month though as i'm fed up of pads x

I have found that if I use Playtex with the plastic applicator it doesn't hurt at all. I do not like cardboard tampons, sometimes they can pinch when you go to insert the tampon.

ticklemonster- you can probably feel it because it is not in right. The first time I ever started wearing tampons, I could never get them in right. I think I went through 2 boxes of them before getting it right. I know this is TMI, but if you insert the applicator all the way in until the tip of you finger is touching your body and then push the tampon in, it should be in the right place and you shouldn't feel it.

I used them a couple of months after birth with no problems hun, felt exactly the same as before, don't worry. x

i cant use them now :( it hurts to much- is it normal to become more dry down below after having LO?? i had a c-section!

Playtex is what I used was not as rough as other brands, but I was still sore.

I use them and it was weird at first but now its like it used to be doesnt hurt or anything

It's normal to feel a bit dryer down there for upto a year! Especially if you breast feed.

It took a few goes to get them in right, I actually... lubed one up with vaseline so I could practice a few times, then used a fresh one when I got my aim in! And the string really irritates now, so more vaseline on that which stops it irritating me. (I think I have a vaseline fetish)

You may have to go up a size, you may not. Try a few before the big day so you are sure it works for you.

And remember, you may find that you flood more than you used to! I got caught in the HV office, had just changed about an hour before and suddenly I was sodden. Luckily the HV looked after Amber while I went and got myself sorted out and I had a long jacket and the car was close by! It was a few months before that stopped, so I ended up wearing a pad aswell if we went out just incase.

ok im scared now! lol
i think il try one tomorrow if it doesnt go well then il just have to wear glorius big pants (which i will anyway! none of this thong stuff since i gave birth!) and a pad and hope for the best!
