Uterine fibroids during pregnancy

I had my first scan yesterday, baby looks great. It was wiggling all around, moving it's arms and had a good, strong heartbeat. My doctor found 2 uterine fibroids during the ultrasound. She said not to worry, that they wouldn't interfere with the pregnancy at all. Where they are located in my uterus is away from the baby and she said if you're going to have fibroids, they couldn't be in a better place.

Has anyone had/has fibroids during pregnancy and did it affect the baby or your pregnancy at all?

I found out the same at my early scan (7weeks) and have since had my 12 week scan, both times I was told about the fibroid and that the location of it won't interfere with baby at all. Saw my consultant last week and she said the same so I'm not worried (but that's because of the location and the reassurance from the experts).
