Hi Ladies

I have had a transvaginal and pelvic scan this morning for some answers to my recurrent miscarriages and the lady who scanned me has seen some uterine fibroids.

I have done some research and it maybe an answer I just wondered if anyone had any experience or information.

Also she said that my ovaries were measuring 8 (left) and 9 (right) do you know what this means??

Hi I have fibroids but don't know what she means about your overies. Maybe one is bigger than the other coz it has follicles in it?
Do you know where/what type your fibroids are? Do you know how big they are?

I have one big one on my right side measuring 6cm that is making the Uterus mis-shapped and my cervix is pushed right over to the left. I also have suspect multiple fibroids on the uterus lining. They also said my uterus was enlarged when I had the scan. I have my op in two weeks when they are going to investigate the extent of teh fibroids and investigate for recurrent MCs.

Thanks Tansey sorry I answered your thread in MC !

My fibroid (just the one at the mo) is about 2cm x 2cm but she didnt seem to worried but said the doc would let me know more, apparently the ovary thing is the volume which is investigate for suspected PCOS. I definately dont have PCOS but my volume is "just" normal. Spose I will get more answers when I see doc

Hi fluffyblue. I think it depends where the fibroids are as to whether they are causing you problems or not. Unsure about the ovary sizes as nothing was ever mentioned to me. Good luck with everything and I hope you get some answers soon. Get yourself a list of questions to take with you when you see your Dr next. I hope this helps a bit.

I have a small fibroid in the walls of my uterus. The Dr that did my Lap just left it in there as she said that it wasnt causing any harm. Hope that is the same for you.

thanks puppymom I dont think its the issue I am still convinced its short LP and low progesterone
