Uterine rupture birth story.

My goodness! That must have been so scary!!!
Belated congratulations xx

Omi!!!!! :hugs: What a traumatic experience!!! :nope: I'm both horrified to read what happened and relieved to know you and CJ are okay. How are you feeling now? :hugs: I also hope you and your family are taking the time and space you need to heal psychologically from this. I can't even begin to imagine... :nope: :hugs:

Thanks, Kismet. I'm doing okay now I think. I mostly just have a achy feeling in my bladder and it feels sort tender still.

I hope your doing okay with TTC. :flow:

I am thinking it may just be healing pains. I see the urologist to get discharged this month so can mention it then though.

I'm sorry to hear that. I really do hope you get a surprise BFP. :dust:

congratulations to you but sorry it wasnt a easier birth. Do you know what caused the rupture as ive opted for a VBAC and have a sweep at the end of the month then if nothing by 40 weeks im induced using one pessary and minimal drip apparently but thats all they will use and only getting induced at 40 weeks due to GD. Was there any warning signs to you that made you more aware if was happening? sorry for all the questions lol x

No, Kismet I self discharged at about 6 days and then went in 1 extra night when the catheter got blocked and another night for tests. Hopefully I'm done with overnight stays now though.

blakesmummy09, no clear reason but I had increase risks due to larger baby and induction. They wouldn't use the pessary on me because I was told it can increase the risk of rupture and also I had already started labour it just wasn't getting going enough considering when my waters had gone. Good luck and FX it all starts naturally for you.

I'm glad you shared this, I am planning my VBAC in march, and even though the risks of UR is .05-1% and the risk of death with that (depending on the type of rupture) is about 6% its good to read, and understand. I'm glad you shared it because it gives people an outsight on what to do if they feel off! THank you and speedy recovery, congrats!

This made me cry! I am so glad you and your son are recovering well and doing good. I guess this is why my doctor will not intervene for anything while Im trying for my VBAC. Not even bust my waters. Its either I do everything on my own or a c-section. Now I feel much better about her decisions and understand why. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi I know I'm a little late to this birth story but I just wanted to congratulate you on your miracle baby!
I am high risk for uterine rupture if I do choose to try again. So these stories really hit me.
You should be very proud of yourself.

Congratulations! I'm glad all was ok and I hope you're recovering well :hugs:
