Who would have thought all this stuff is going on inside! :) - I'm starting to like being pregnant, every day brings something new to learn x

I got that too, doesn't cause any problems so relax xx

I was told that when I had an early scan at 7 weeks. I made that dreaded mistake of googling it and got all kinds of scary info. When I spoke to a few people I found out they had titled uterus's as well and it didn't ever cause them any problems. One even said that giving birth was a piece of cake because of it. Not sure if thats a common thing though.

Anyway im 12 weeks now and at my dating scan it wasn't mentioned and they found the baby straight away so hopefully you won't have any problems as the pregnancy continues.

xxx

I have a tilted uterus but I haven't had an appointment yet, so I don't know what to expect. My mom also has a titled uterus and she had two kids, no problems. The second birth was harder but I think my sis was positioned wrong.

I have a tilted uterus and have had 2 children just fine!! don't sweat it

how do you know? I dont know what mine is like all i know is that at my scan i had to lift my bottom of the bed to help them see better??

I have on too...my doctor said it shouldn't cause any problems at all. The only thing she said to watch out for was at about 13 weeks I may have trouble emptying my bladder. She said if so, just give her a call and it could be very easily fixed. She said if that happened it would be caused by the tilted uterus having trouble moving up as a "normal" one would and as a result resting and putting pressure on the bladder.

Anyway, it seems that having a tilted uterus is not so "abnormal" after all. The more I look into it, the more common it seems.

Yup, I have one too. i think my uterus shifted with my last child. There is a way to "Fix" it though from what Ive read. you can get on all fours, chest to the floor, and eventually it will shift back. I've never tried it, but there are exercises I suppose you can look up. but dont worry too much about it. My babies were fine.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing you can do to change it, I think like 1/4 of women have a tilted uterus so its natural and pretty common. Mine is and it has never given me any problems but instead of getting abdomen cramps before my period like lots of women I would get lower back pain.

Ummm I said in my first post :) - the sonographer (lady who scanned me) told me it was tilted back slightly.

I've always had horrendous periods (diagnosed with dysmenorrhea) and lots of back ache with it too - wonder if its got anything to do with it?! There are exercises you can do - the sonographer was explaining them but I couldn't get to grips with it mentally, need a diagram lol
