Vaginal swelling with propess? Due to be induced again!

Hi all,

I was induced at 37 weeks last pregnancy and am due the same again in 2 and a half weeks time. I had propess followed by prostin and suffered awful vaginal swelling, I couldn't walk or wee and needed catheterization after giving birth. I'm due to have Prostin this time and am scared the same will happen! Propess did nothing for me except make me swell and give me awful vaginal pain, but prostin worked quickly. Anyone else had the same experience?

Maybe you will be okay with just prostin? Fingers crossed for you. I've had both types of pessaries but never had vaginal swelling. The process obviously didn't agree with you x

I hope so! I had prostin 18 years ago.with my son and it was ok, but the weird thing is that propess and prostin are the same drug, just different strengths I.think. Ah well, only 5 days left, we shall see! X
