I only have an adult vapour rub which I'm pretty sure is for adults and maybe older children. I don't know because I took the label off for some reason! But my son is unbelievably wheezy. I took him to the doctors today who was surprised at quite how bad it is so has prescribed an inhaler. What I was wondering is if it is a big no no to put a tiny bit of the vapour rub on this chest and back? Would that be harmful to him or ok?

you should get snufflebabe or Karvol for babies, i believe Vicks is too strong for under 2s..
We've been using karvol and a Karvol plug in

I would maybe put some on some tissue or a cloth by his bed. I personally wouldn't risk putting it on his skin as it could irritate him a bit
Hope he feels better soon :flower:

I use snuffle babe, it smells as strong but it is obviously safer, I would never put any adult strength medication on her. It only costs a few pounds. I love the smell!

Boots do a baby version which is safe from 3 months. I have just put some on LOs chest as she is all sniffly.

Snuffle babe worked amazing wonders for us too, ive just bought boots own baby vapour rub on hig recommendations too - also the snuffle babe smells like an olbad sunday dinner  contains thyme, but it really helped dom of a night

Ooo I read somewhere put socks on him & put a tiny amount on the bottom of his socks! That way it's not too strong & not touching his skin.

I have snufflebabe but if I was desperate, I'd put some on a muslin in the cot or a dot on each foot with socks/babygro over them

Thanks girls. I've looked for a baby vapour rub before but I never seem to find it. I'm obviously not looking hard enough! Good tip about putting some on the bottom of his socks/babygrow. I have some baby olbas oil which I'll probably dab around his sheet to help him breathe. He's dosed up enough now that hopefully he doesn't need it anyway x
