Sorry, me again, in a posting frenzy at the moment.

I've been using OPKs to try to understand my cycles better and because I've been taking EPO for the last two cycles.

In total, since January, I've done OPKs for three cycles:
June: 14 day luteal phase
Oct: 14 day LP
Nov: 17 day LP

Is this a normal variance? I know it's not a BAD thing as it's more than 12 days but everything I've read says your LP should be the same every month, maybe +/- 1 day...but this is a 3 day variance! Def wasn't an early MC either.

Anyone have a variable LP too, have you spoken to a doctor about it?

Hi,
I'm in Bristol too!
I've had variable LPs. Once my periods kicked back in from being off the pill my LP has been 6, 7, 11, 9. I'm currently on 10DPO so they're up and down. I'm not entirely sure what this means though to be honest.
I read your other post about progesterone too. I've had a few attempts at the 21 day test but as my cycle length varies my doctor refuses to take any of the results seriously saying the timing is wrong. The 1st time I did it, I went 7 days after a positive ov strip and got the result of 5 but she said that was wrong, can't see why as surely 7DPO is a key time for progesterone. The highest score I've had is 12 which was 9 days before my period.
I'm sorry I don't have any real advice for you I'm afraid. I try to speak to my doctor but she doesn't listen and isn't interested in helping me.
Head and brick wall spring to mind!
Hope you get more info that you need.

Hi Beany! :)

Sounds like your doctor's rubbish, you're well within your rights to go see someone else, in my opinion! Everywhere I've looked says you should do the progesterone test 7 days after ovulation so I think you did everything completely right.

Have signed up to a paid sub for fertility friend and will keep doing OPKs for longer this month to see if that changes anything, LP-wise. Should be interesting!!

Good luck and go see another doc!
