Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me joining you. Hubby and I are about to embark on our journey to become parents to our own little bundle of joy. Hubby had his vasectomy 13 years ago following the birth of his now 13 year old son (has 3 children). We've just booked our reversal date with Dr Harris (BMI Notts) for the beginning of June. We realise that conceiving will be a long process if it happens at all, but we have everything crossed that it will happen eventually!

I'd love to hear more of others VR stories and experiences.

Babydust to all!

Hi !

I am also new here. My husband had his VR in April 2011. It had been a liitle over 3 years since his V. Although I was very worried ( but tried not to show it!) the day of surgery was not that bad at all. I hate waiting for anything, but the 3 hours went by faster than I thought. Recovery was not bad at all for him. He was sore for about 10 days, and uncomfortable for a few more.

The day of the surgery the doc said all went well. They gave me pictures to show some sperm in there. I was happy just with that at that point. We go for the first SA this week. Now my nerves are starting again. We have been only TTC for a month now. I guess I'm on edge agian b/c AF started this morning. I keep telling myself -It's only been a month of TTC and I know I should think rationally! It is my age (38) that also has me worried.

It really helps having a place like this to read about other situations.

Hi there, I'm not in the same boat as you- husband never had a vasectomy- but I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. These boards really are very helpful :)

Hi ladies

Just popping in from baby club. Hubby had a vasectomy reversal in Dec 2009 and Holly was born in Dec 2010. He was only able to have one side done, due to a damaged tube. Just wanted to share a positive story with you - miracles do happen!

Good luck and lots of :dust: to you x x

Hi  He went to Dr Dawson in Hartlepool. He is one of the best known surgeons in the UK, but is one of the more expensive. We paid £3000, although I think the fee may have changed now. Good luck!
