So I had my very first consultant appointment at Frimley Park Hospital which went very well. My consultants name is Kathy Morgan and I am told she is very VBAC pro so I am very excited to be under her care whilst having my little boy. I was very anxious once I arrived at the hospital and fully expecting to be told NO to VBAC, but in fact they are VERY supportive. Unlike my last consultant at St Peters who was a man and who I personally did not feel sympathized with my situation. I have a feeling I might get quite a good shot at having this VBA2C. I don’t know the name of the Doctor that I had today but she was very friendly. She kind of reminded me of the young girl guard from OITNB. She introduced herself and we went through what went wrong with Bella’s Birth. Which did make me well up quite a lot as it was only a year ago that she was born prematurely. She explained to me the risks with both C-section and VBA2C and told me that I will be monitored and have a scan & consultant appointment at 28 weeks and 34 weeks to see how things are progressing. So now I have two extra appointments added to my list =) 11th September @ 09:15am and 23rd October 2015 @ 09:15. I can’t even think that far ahead in this pregnancy! It seems like forever away! Thing is actually I know this will come very quickly!

I'm hoping for a VBAC and it's so great when your consultant supports you! I hope we both get our birth :)

How nice!!!! good luck hun!I hope you get the birth you wish for.
I had a VBAC with my second and it was so peaceful and wonderful! then I was hoping for another one with my third son but he was breech and that broke my heart..now unfortunately they won't allow me to go for another VBAC since I had 2 sections..

mine asked if I had a strong desire for a vba2c and really ethicized on the word strong. when I said I hadn't he said that's good as it would be constant monitoring and not being able to move about. I was on constant monitoring with my first when I was induced with him and it was so uncomfortable not being able to move. I have to have extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks. At the moment my section is going to be planned for 39 weeks but it all depends on how well the scans go.

I'm glad your experience was positive and I hope that everything continues going so well. It's nice to hear positive stories.

I have my first consultant appointment on Thursday after my 20 week scan...I'm a little nervous. I really want a section due to worries after I had dd. I'm hoping for more scans just to try and monitor size, as this might then make me think more about vbac, although I know that growth scans can be really unhelpful and inaccurate. Dd was 10lb 1oz, they kept pushing for me to go natural - essentially I had my waters broken on Saturday, got to 9cm then went back to 6cm (so non progressive) and they still kept saying I could have a natural birth. I had dd by emcs on the Sunday afternoon and the surgeon told me she was too big for my pelvis and I'd never have been able to deliver her naturally. This freaks me out that they kept pushing for me to deliver naturally when something would have gone wrong; I'm also concerned that this could happen again and this baby could be bigger than dd.

Xx

Thanks Lady =) My last csection was traumatic due to baby being born early so id really like to avoid itxx
