i had a section in 2007 as i had bleeding threw my pregnancy and now i am 15 weeks pregnant and i would like to have a vbac this time round have any of you got experience on this ?? xx

Didnt want to read and go. I dont have an experience of this but I too want vbac for my next one. Im worried that it would just end in section again though.

I had an emergency c-section with ds1 under general anaesthetic. I tried for vbac with ds2 and ended up with a second emergency c section because i was not progressing after induction (as I was overdue). It wasn't what I had wanted but my second 'emergency' wasn't really that much of an emergency, they just call it that because it wasn't planned. They had prepared me for the chance it might happen and it was a calm process getting my spinal etc and through to the theatre.
For me, although it ended in a second emergency c section, it was worth a try to give myself a chance to have a natural labour.

I had a VBAC 16 months after my EMCS. Everything went well I was not chemically induced, but had my cervix swept and went into labour a few days after that. Recovery from my VBAC was 1000x's easier than the c/s.

My first was an emcs. When I got pregnant the second time, my doc went through everything with me and said that me being able to VBAC depended mostly on why the emcs the first time. I have a fibroid that sits close to my cervix and thus doesn't allow my cervix to fully dialate, so there was no option for me. So based on my experience you should look at why you sectioned the first time and see if that same scenario is likely to re-occur or not.

Good luck!
