VBAC- Question about constant monitoring..

What does constant monitoring actually mean? What does it entail?

I know this sounds like a dumb question but I don't know what to expect. Any help would be much appreciated!

It means you either have an external monitor strapped to your belly to monitor babies heart and contractions , or an internal monitor to monitor baby, you'll have to stay close to the bed usually and it means continuous you'll have it from the time you arrive until you give birth usually

Be aware that an internal clip to monitor your baby comes in the form of two bits of metal wire inserted under the skin of your baby's scalp. A bit like a staple but not folding back on itself once in.
