When i had my daughter last year her cord prolapsed and i was rushed in for an emergency section. I woke to be told that she faced a 50/50 chance of being brain damaged or pass away
She was rushed to Bristol Hopsital where she underwent brain cooling and amazingly she pulled through unscathed! :happydance:
Now I am pregnant with number 5 and i was expecting to be told i would have to have another section but my consultant said there is no reason why i cant have a VBAC. I suppose i am happy about this as it was awful recovering from a section but i wont lie i am petrified of the cord prolapse happening again! My 3rd baby had shoulder dystocia then the cord prolapes happened.... i dread to think whats next

That sounds like a horrid experience, no wonder you are scared. Remember that vbac's are more achievable if you've had a previous vaginal delivery, which you've had. Saying that, you would be within your rights to request an elecive cs if it would help you to regain some feeling of control over the birth. I guess you can only do what feels right, and I hope that whatever you decide things go smoothly and safely for you this time.

Good luck. x
