hi im hoping someone can help shed some light on this situation?
i was meant to have a dnc yesterday im meant to be 8 weeks and measuring 6.5 weeks with only a yolk sac visable and no fetal pole or heartbeat, the yolksac last week was 9mm completely abnormal which is why i was goin to get the dnc.
i had a mmc in may with twins that was dragged out until i was 12 weeks and do not want to go through that again!!
anyway they gave me a scan first, found the sac and the yolk sac had shrunk to 4.5 mm and looked completely normal.....and there was another yolk sac accross the other side in the same gestational sack that looked smaller but definately there, still no evidence of fetal life though. 3 sonographers later and then the doctor shows up who was goin to do the procedure on me and said he will not have this on his conscience and to come back next week for another ultrasound. he believes that anything can happen as theres been so much change, not to get my hopes up because i am meant to be 8 weeks and not 6+.
all the staff there were confused as were we, if this turns out well then this will all be worth it, has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening with good or bad outcomes i actually feel a bit like a freak show right now...very confused indeed x
