Sorry, I'm not keen on it either. I'm not keen on the sound of it and I think Empress will have a lot of trouble with being teased and later on with not being taken seriously in her professional life.
Sorry, I am not a fan of the name either but this is your child you are talking about and you should name her something you love so if your heart is set, go for it.
Reminds me of Katie Price's little girl - but all that matters is that YOU like it! My daughter is 6 months and is called Saraya (which is a derivative of Sarah and means Princess) if you like the meaning Empress why not search out names which mean it?
to be honest, i don't like it. it makes me think of jermaine jackson who named his kid 'jermajesty'.
and i agree with the other poster who said it will prevent her being taken seriously later in life.
and this is coming from someone who likes a lot of 'different' names.
It's not something I'd have, but if you like it then go for it. There will be plenty of applicants in 20 years time with names like Apple and Princess _____.
Sorry but I just don't think there will be. I don't know a single child with a name as "out there" as "Apple", and I am a nursery nurse. There are loads of really common names, but they are all pretty usual, like Olivia, Amelia and Lily. In 20 years time things like "Apple" will still be considered surprising names for adults and I doubt most people will actually meet one
