I went to the doctors today as I have been having quite a bit of pain since New Years and found out she thinks my little boy is trying to sneak out early :( Of course I'm very scared now as I'm supposed to go to the Birth Center whenever my pains get bad now and I have to have my cervix checked once a week. It's amazing how these things happen... I have about a million emotions going on in my head. We haven't even been on the birth center tour yet!!!! I'm just very scared but I'm hoping for the best as I know stress can only make things worse. Also, I was put on three different medications  I can only imagine how drugged up I will be from this moment on. Anyone else going through this? Please send good thoughts my way!

Oh no. That's not good news. Have you talked to Turbomom? She's the one to talk to about early births. Sending you and the baby loads of good wishes and glue.

I hope he is nice and sticky, will be thinking of you and connor i hope all is okay xx

Oh Lucky, I am so sorry to hear this. Fingers crossed for a sticky boy!!

Lots of sticky thoughts for you! Did they put you on bed rest?

Sorry to hear about your troubles...I hope everything gets better,

I'm so sorry to hear this! You are in my thoughts and prayers. What restrictions did they give you? Are you on bed rest? No sex? Hopefully listening to their restrictions will help keep him in there! :hugs:

They just gave me a bunch of good meds to take from now forward. No sex, lifting and all that other usual precaution methods. She said I can still work as I work part-time at a hospital and I get to sit. Plus they can monitor the babies heart rate with my contractions when I cramp at work. Thank you all for your sticky thoughts!! My fiance had a talk with our son tonight about him staying in there longer so that they can share their birthday (hes due the day after his bday). It was quite cute! Still feeling pretty crampy so I'm hoping the medications work soon... though I'm sure like any medication it takes time. Thank you all again for your positive thoughts!!

sending sticky thoughts to little connor xxx

Hey Lucky, what was it about your cramping that made them worry? I am still cramping at 22 weeks and I don't know if it is normal, or if I should worry.

good luck! I hope he stays in there for you. It's really good that they're monitoring you so closely though.

Along with my cramping I get a tightening feeling in my uterus. I also got BV 2 months into my pregnancy~ my doctor says it can happen to pregnant woman because the change in hormones. I was treated but it doesn't decrease your chance of having preterm labor for some women :(

Oh hon, I'm sorry :hugs:

Sending you some sticky vibes! I hope he decides to stay in there as long as possible. :hugs:

I'm not going through this but I wanted to wish you lots of luck!! I hope it all turns out fine for you and your little guy!

OH goodness sweetie how are you doing? I know how scary this is. I am glad that you got it checked right away though and that they are keeping you on close monitoring. Just keep your chin up and don't lose faith. Just take it really easy and definetely no sex or hard work/lifting. I hope that your little one can stay in there a while longer.
But just know that if you're little one makes an early arrival survival chances are quite high. If he does come then there is a reason for it. Babies at this gestation do very well though. Just look at Charlotte and Angelynn. Of course they have there little problems and it's a suprise each and every day but these little babies are so strong.
Please keep us updated on how you are doing I hope the medications keep the contractions at bay for you. Good luck
