Very nervous

Lucky you went to the doctors when you did, did you feel in yourself that something wasn't right ?

My mum had all three of us early, we were all born around 30 weeks and we were all good strong babies.. So have hope like turbo mom said, im sure he'll do just fine...

Just try and hang on for as long as possible little baby!!

Awww hun :hugs: It looks like you are going to be monitored very well now babe, so if there was anything to worry about it will be spotted! I have everything crossed for you and really wish you all the best! x

How are you feeling today? Hope everything is still well with you.

OH goodness sweetie how are you doing? I know how scary this is. I am glad that you got it checked right away though and that they are keeping you on close monitoring. Just keep your chin up and don't lose faith. Just take it really easy and definetely no sex or hard work/lifting. I hope that your little one can stay in there a while longer.
But just know that if you're little one makes an early arrival survival chances are quite high. If he does come then there is a reason for it. Babies at this gestation do very well though. Just look at Charlotte and Angelynn. Of course they have there little problems and it's a suprise each and every day but these little babies are so strong.
Please keep us updated on how you are doing I hope the medications keep the contractions at bay for you. Good luck

Yeah it's very scary... I'm trying to just be relaxed about things because I know thats whats best for Connor. I used to work in the NICU so the worse case scenarios tend to pop in my head. Looking at Angelynn and Charlottes stories defiantly gives me hope. Your daughter is amazing and so beautiful and your just a wonderful mother the way you stay by her side. I had an NST done today, babies heart rate was great and I only had one contraction during the scan so my medication is doing it's job. As much as the meds make me feel like crud it's so worth it if it will keep him in till 40 weeks!!! Thank you for your well wishes!

I am so glad it is going well for you with the meds. Hopefully your body will adjust to them and you wont be feeling so bad fo too long. You and Connor will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was having contractions at about 26 weeks, and they told me not to do a lot of walking, try to limit my activities as much as possible, and no sex lol. But thankfully nothing else has happened since. I hope everything goes good for you and take it easy!!

Did they put you on anything for the contractions??? Did your contractions go away?

I was monitored today as I was having cramping. I had four contractions =/ but Connors heart rate was stable which made me happy. This is all so nerve racking I was able to go home and rest so hopefully no more contractions for awhile ... I don't feel like going to L&D anytime soon. At this point I just really wish I could say I was in the third trimester. I think my doctor will probably up my dosage when she checks my cervix this week. I did try on a maternity belt today and it did wonders on taking the pressure of my pelvis. Thank you again everyone for your well wishes... it defiantly gives me a smile.

I'm now 16 weeks and been having my cervix checked every so often. Last week they found that the cervix was opening so they took me in and gave me a stitch. Have they not mentioned this in your case?

I had medication for my contractions but I could have it for 48 hours. After it wore off contractions started again immediately but that was also because I had an infection.

I hope yours work for you. Just take it super easy. No getting groceries, shopping etc get DH to be your slave for a while. It's the best thing for you and baby right now!

Hey Lucky and Connor, hang in there and think positive!!!

He's actually out getting me dinner as we speak :) My medication worked quite well today as I had no contractions. Lets just hope it stays that way :happydance:

Lucky, have you considered dodging out of work sooner? Is that a possibility?

Aww thats great hon, so glad they've finally stopped :hugs:I have my fingers crossed they don't come back until its truely time.

Sorry to hear you've been through this but at least your contractions are getting better.

Thinking of you all :)

Luckily my job is laid back and all I really do is sit at my desk. If I end up dilating I will have to go on bed rest the duration of my pregnancy =/ but I do know If I make it to 34 weeks I will probably have to start my leave then because this pregnancy has been so crazy. I almost feel safer at work because they can monitor my contractions with babies heart rate there... plus labor and delivery is only 6 floors up! I'm Hoping for good news when I go to the doctors tomorrow.

Glad to hear things have calmed down a wee bit, hopefully they will stay that way. Just take it easy. xx
