Just wanted some advice. I'm 14 weeks and over the moon to be at this stage after two previous mmc where they stopped developing 8 weeks. I know baby is fine touch wood had scan few days ago and hear with Doppler.

However last night something odd happened and you will all think I'm crazy, I'm naturally a skinny person. So now I'm pregnant my womb is so noticeable and I have a nice little bump however lying down in bed last night my bump which is low down was lob sided to right hand side an normally when I'd feel my bump it's all one hard solid bump but this time I had a lump on right hand side of womb only way I can explain it in a sausage sort of shape?! Dh could feel it aswell and said perhaps it's baby lying in awkward place so I put the Doppler on that lump an babys heartbeat right there!

However this morning my womb feels even harder again and very tight almost uncomfortable feeling :s like a crampy pulling pain on my side and back. On my right side. I'm so worried that something is wrong :(

I've never been this far in pregnancy so have no idea what to expect?

I get the lopsided bump most mornings and sometimes a little cramping or numbness where bean is laying on a nerve or some such. I also get it from back ache that started about 4 weeks ago and sems set to stay for the long haul. Bean also likes to lay on my wee spot until I just make it in the loo and then move so I don't need to go anymore. Keep an eye on how you're feeling but try not to stress about it as when you do you tend to tense up which will make it seem worse. Maybe a warm bath to ease everything will also help and then see how you get on.

Firstly, really, really pleased to see you over in 2nd tri!!

Secondly, if you're skinny you will probably see more of the baby's shape as you grow. My LO quite often lies at one side or the other or the top or the bottom. Sometimes it's hard-ish lump, other times it's all really squichy and bump seems to go down. There is still loads of room for LO to move at 14 weeks so you are bound to notice that he/she is lying in different places.

The cramping is probably stretching pains, you'll have them pretty much the entire pregnancy. My uterus grew very rapidly from about 15 weeks til now nd I had sore tummy on and off all the time. It reaches my belly button now and 3 weeks ago it was 4 finger widths down.

Try to see the 'pain' as a positive thing, means LO is growing rapidly.

xx

dont worry i had this and i posted something on here about my bump being harder on one side your OH is right it is just the baby, those bits that you can feel could be an arm or a leg i like the think its the babies bum sticking up for some reason i just think its adorable and cramping yup yup get laods of that really hurts but its just growing ligaments just remember that as your baby grows so does your belly, the muscles and your cervix stretch so quickly its bound to be uncomfortable have a warm bath with bubbles and just try to relax

Hey minkymoo can't believe your 18 weeks already!! So pleased. And I think I'm so scared as I didn't expect all this so early?? It just all seems so bizzarr to me perhaps a bit overwhelming maybe? I hope that's all it is is the baby being busy an my uterus growing...last night wheny bump went lob sided on the right the top of my right thigh also went dead an achey!

I think perhaps as I'm getting further I'm getting more nervous as I didn't expect to get here after everything, the pressure and tightness I'm feeling is just freaking me out! I actually burst out cryinh this morning as just feeling so scared of something bad happening!

Oh hun. I'm still nervous too, most of us are, it's perfectly normal, but of course I haven't experienced what you have :hugs: so can only imagine your heightened state.

I don't think the worrying will ever go away I'm afraid, and will probably exacerbate after LO arrives. We've got 18 plus years of worrying to go yet, best get used to it!!

I flap about things most days still and am still on constant knicker watch. My latest concern is that I haven't felt any movement and everybody else at my stage seems to have been having them for a while (it probably isn't most but it feels that way, know what I mean??). I try to remember that everyone's pregnancy is different. I flap about every bit of stress I feel at work (which really makes my tummy ache!). When LO starts moving I will start worrying about something else. It's our nature.

You're past the first tri now, and everything is still going great so try and try to relax and enjoy the bump whenever you can. If you lie really still with a warm hand on the hard bit, I bet you it will move after a while.

Like the other ladies say, have a warm bath or lie on one side to relieve the pain and think to yourself, is this actually 'pain' or is it really just a bit of a niggle in the great scheme of things? If it is genuine pain and you are actually doubled up with it then seek medical advice but otherwise, all is normal.

xxx

Glad you got this far hun! I'm really thin too (or I was ;) ) and since I have been showing I can really tell where she is. She lays on the right side a lot, and I get the weird pain thing, I think it is because they are laying on a nerve? I would try not to worry!
