Although DH's sperm results aren't great, they aren't that bad. His volume is pretty close to normally, his morphology is actually really good (5% and above is normal) so its really only the motility. What was his actual count?
My DH has a motility of 36% (though it has varied from as low as 1% before) but his count is low and his morhology is at 1% and his sperm is highly damaged, so we're doing IVF/ICSI.
If his count is really high then IUI could be an option, if not, IVF/ICSI is usually needed for low motility.
Best of luck to you both and I hope that the vits improve his sperm for the next test.

Thanks FJL, he is going to see his doctor on friday so we will know more then, there the only 3 results he was given over the phone so we don't know is actual count.

Hey chick
What was his count - sorry if i'm being thick and i didn't read it right??
I will try and dig out this NHS document i got sent which says 98 out of 100 men will have an improved result on their second test.
Did he abstain for longer than 3 days before doing the test? this can affect the result quite a bit apparently - we were really pants and DH kept putting off doing it so in the end it was about 7-10 days before he did it!! Dr said leaving it longer than the 3 days shows up a greater number or dead sperm.
DH has low count, 1.5 million. He has been told to take vitamins, eat plenty of fruit/verg/organic foods, no drinking AT ALL and lay off the caffeine - along with no hot baths (they kill sperm), loose pants - he is also losing weight and exercising now!!
There is a good book out from the lady who did the Diet Doctors - The Fertility Diet by Dr Sarah Dobbyn - that is quite interesting with lots of natural and herbal remedies - might be worth a look?
When will he have his second SA?
