Hello :flower:

I am currently 28+2 and over the last few days I keep getting a sensation in my lower uterus area that resembles a vibrating mobile/cell phone! It even has a rhythm to it like a phone, it's very mild and lasts for a little while then passes. I'm not too worried (types optimistically!) but more curious as to what this could be  Is anyone else experiencing this and/or know what it is?

Thanks in advance! x

It's definately a vibrating feeling, and not pulsating? I get a pulsating feeling, a bit like a heartbeat and apparently it's baby hiccuping! x

Hi, definitely a vibrating sensation, the first few times I had it, I kept thinking my phone was going in my bag/pocket... it wasn't. It's doing it right now.

I recall reading about it in the first trimester, can't remember what it was though

Anyone?? .... It's stopped for now but I don't know what to think - should I be worried? My midwife is a real nightmare to get hold of and only works part time.

TIA xx

Have you misplaced your love eggs recently?

teehee my bad.

I get this too sometimes, havent a clue what it is though!

i get this too!! does it kinda feel like bubs is shaking?? it does for me, i jusy assumed he was moving real fast lol

I have been experiencing this too. I didn't experience anything like this with my first two kids. I know that my LO is currently in a "bum down" position......I just assumed it was him kicking quickly or something?!

I had this from about 20 weeks on...but after Haley was born I now know what that was! When she stretches out or pees her little feet just tremble for a few seconds...she was sleeping on my chest one day and did it and it was an instant deja vu!!

I had this a lot when I was around 27-29 weeks. It seems to have passed as of right now though.

I read that it's a type of growing "pain". Stretching of the uterus or something. To me it felt like a vibrating but numb feeling...even though I wasn't numb...I suppose the feeling reminded me of that sensation you get when a limb falls asleep and is starting to wake up but hasn't gotten all prickly yet. It was always on one side, down low.

Mine is always on the one side really low down too, its kind of weird! It's happened a lot in the last few days, maybe it will only last for a few more days if yours finished at around 29 weeks - only a few days to go for me then! :winkwink:

Thank you! :flower:

I get this every so often (I'm 34 weeks) and have done for about a month or so.

It's definitely different to hiccups, which baby gets about 3 times a day. I have no idea what it is and no one seems to know. I can only liken it to the feel if I do a huge yawn & stretch and you sometimes do a little shudder afterwards.

There are loads of threads about it if you do a search on here, but it seems to be pretty common and harmless even if no one knows what it is!

A friend described a pal's same experience, as in after the baby was born his little foot would tremble from time to time - the doctor said it was because of the baby's immature nervous system (which is normal). Interesting, although the sensation I am getting has a rhythm and goes on for a while so I'm not sure if that is it...

It does remind me of a feeling I used to get in my thigh muscle so the post above could explain it, it could be the uterus/muscle/other bits stretching??

Thank you for your post :flower:

Hi! It's odd that no one really knows what it is, I think you are right though, my instincts are telling me that it is harmless and just one of those things.

Thanks for your reply :)

I get this too its a very strange feeling things that have popped into my mind is babys lip quivering, him drinking amniotic fluid and causing the sensation or one of babies nerves is having a jitter lol.

Would love to know what it is though lol. x

Hey i had this at 28 weeks too! I kept asking people if they'd had it and everyone laughed at me like i was going mad haha. It didnt last for long and my baby is fine :)

Im 39 weeks now but i remember getting this around 29 weeks and i asked my midwife about it, apparantley they get stuck in a position or caught in something so they shake themselves free to get out of it
x

I have this too when I lay on my side - I try to get OH to feel it but it always stops before he can. Think its just a jitter or as Mango34 says poss trying to get free! Feels very strange though!
