I feel vibrations, VERY subtle, low and to one side. It goes on for a few seconds then stops. This isn't quickening, is it? I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and have been feeling it since yesterday. I'm a first-time mom. This is too early, right?

I remember feeling vibrations before actually kicks and movement so might not be long now till you feel baby properly :-) x

It could be! I felt baby tapping me at 14 weeks. Don't be surprised if you don't feel anything for a while though. I felt nothing through week 15.

I felt what felt like vibrations this morning and I feel baby kick and wriggle every day now. Had no idea what he was doing in there, dancing or something lol. He does like to play with his umbilical chord though.

I used to get these when pregnant then had them whwn I wasnt, apparantly its the nerves etc. Very strange feeling. xx

Yes sounds like Baby! I too had that at 14 and half weeks, I also felt a tapping sensation. I get it very infrequently still, hoping for consistent movement soon!

I just did some reading on this last night bc Im Experiencing the same thing at 23.5 weeks. I couldn't really find any answers, just women w the same experience from 6-36weeks pregnant. According to the some it could be baby pushing on a nerve of ours, or others said the baby's limb vibrating bc of development of their nervous system. I'm not really sure about either of these theories, I'm gonna mention it at my next appt.
I dunno, it's so strange! It feels like a cell phone going off on vibrate or like baby is snoring or something!

It's probably not baby since 14 weeks is still really early. I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and the baby was flailing and kicking and I didn't feel a thing. Doc says you won't really feel anything until around 20 weeks.

Some people feel kicks from 12 weeks. I knew a lady having her scan who felt the kick as she saw it. Everyone is different. Some people won't feel it til 20 odd weeks. I definitely felt baby from 14 weeks and he is my first

Hmm, thanks everyone. I don't think I could reasonably expect this to be feeling the baby, as I am only today 14w and a FTM.

Hi all. In case anyone was curious. I asked a doctor about this and she said "the explanation usually given for this sensation is pulsations of the uterine artery."

I had this vibration at implantation, defintely a different feeling then the vibration of baby...more like a high speed tapping I felt...

I also started to feel baby at 14 weeks. It is not impossible. I find being very still I can sometimes catch it, and I am by no means a petite girl :haha:

....and this is my first.

I get those sometimes but I really have no idea if its baby or not. I have all sorts of movement but I have no idea what is what. Mine could be gas or round ligament pains

With my first I got the first feelings around 16 weeks but it wasnt the vibrating pooping notion I see decribed so often, mine was more like pressure as though it was pushing up behind my belly button.
With this one iv been getting it since 11 weeks (the same pressure feeling.
by 16 weeks I was getting deffined kickes and rolling (the rolling was very much like the pressure feeling just alot more intense the further along I got) now at 22 week I can see what side the baby is sat on, extremly strong well defined kickes, others can feel the kicks from outside and can see my stomach jump with kicks.

It could be a number of things, nerves going into spasms due to stretching, baby squiggling about and like someone else said the baby does spasm (for lack of a better word) alot during the first 20 weeks due to nerves and nurons growing and firing as they are starting to be used.
