hello everyone,

im 8 weeks now and my mornin g sickness is geting worse, the problem that I have is that it is making it difficult for me to work (i currently work 2 jobs and over 50 hours a week).
my day job is fine as i can work from home but i dont know wherther i should get a sick note for my night job as I literally cant keep anything down and im worried about throwing up at my desk, cos I get no warning that im going to be sick.
If anyone can give me some advice or an oppinion it would be great

Eat eat eat! My sickness is only bad when I'm hungry, eating is the only way I've learnt to control the sickness, try to eat bland foods so it doesn't upset your tummy, working 50 hrs Is alot, and tiredness doesn't help the sickness so perhaps you should consider taking a break from your night job good luck Hun xxxx

I had the same problem at eight weeks and went to see my gp. She signed me off with hypermensis as I was really dehydrated and couldn't function. You should def go to see your gp they are really nice about it. You need some r&r! I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't have been signed off.

I've never been off work sick in my life, but had three days off due to severe morning sickness last week and yesterday my doctor signed me off for two weeks. I do feel a bit guilty, but even going to the doctor's office yesterday was a huge struggle. I'm going to do nothing more than lie on the sofa during this period and get my strength back!
Go to your doctor. I was pleasantly surprised at how understanding she was. Your health is the most important thing at this time.

I agree, it sounds like too much and you should see your GP who will judge if you need signing off or not.
