Hi

I'm getting a lot of virus alerts on BnB again today - SWF downloaders according to by anti-virus software

This was happening a few weeks ago as well - is anyone else having the same issue?

I've contacted admin, but thought I'd put a post in here as well

xx

It's probably being triggered by a blinkie site or ticker site. I think this has happened to a few people before :flower:

SWF is related to flash the only flash on BnB is the ads which can create reports when there is no danger based how high you have your settings. If you are being warned of an actual virus then you need to scan your computer. BabyandBumps flash ads run/served through Google (who will heavily screen for virus's).

You mentioned via email tickers being replaced with adverts, there is one specific ticker company (annoyingly) that show adverts to their own homepage when the site is down for maintenance, ect (usually pretty big as well :growlmad:)

When you get this warning it should tell you where it came from. Does it originate from BnB?

Thanks Wobbles :)
This is a work lappy, so my guess is the settings are pretty high. The pop-ups are telling me that the virus has been blocked, so I'm not too worried ... just wanted to check that BnB hasn't been hacked

Does it actually say 'virus' or just threat?

More information can help like a screen shot of the actual report (each report has detailed information) because even if it's not related to us sometimes one of the guys are around who can help and sometimes I pull SC back to help ;)

Hey Urchin,

Can I suggest if it is a works laptop, that you go here

https://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

And give that a try. It is a web based virus checker that wont put any software on your laptop itself, which I know some company can get annoyed about.

I use it at home here as I don't like using Norton and other resource hungry things. My other advice would be to load up Microsoft Security Essentials and see if it finds anything :)

Hope this helps.
