Hi all,

I am 35 and have a DS who is 3. I am expecting my second and am about 6weeks 5days. I have been suffering from all day sickness (nausea only no vomiting) and tiredness. I started taking Vitamin b6 (25 mg 3 times a day) and within 2 days I have felt much better (coincidence but seems to work for a lot of women?). It does not seem to be very popular in the UK but US doctors seem to recommend it. Has anyone tried this, did it work and any views on whether it is safe? I will be seeing my GP next week and will ask but in the meantime would appreciate your views on this.

I have a HUGE phobia of vomiting so I use a variety of different things. Seabands, preggi-pops, small meals throughout the day, gingerale, and B6

My doctor's nurse gave me a packet when I saw them the first time (at this office we see the educational nurse and then the doctor a few weeks later) and they said in the packet vitamin B-6 25mg twice a day was fine. I do not take it often because *knock on wood* I haven't had to much morning sickness (at least nothing the seabands and preggie-pops can't handle) but the couple times I did take the B-6 it helped a lot, it took around 30 minutes for it to kick in but it's worked great for me when I do use it!

I only get about 25 all day long but I read b12 is also good too. So I take a complex. I can't swallow pills and I cant find a chewable b6 ; (

I didn't realize how much it was helping until I forgot to take my vitamins (which have B6) for a couple of days and was suddenly sick as a dog! I started back up and immediately felt so much better. I've since attributed it to the B6.

B6 is well known for helping with morning sickness. Here in Canada one of the main morning sickness drugs is called diclectin which contains B6. I usually take B6 in 1st tri to help ease the nausea. It's safe!

Okay so I just got 50ml tablets...how much can I take a day?

Oh running out tomorrow to get this!! My nausea is making me miserable! Thanks for the tip.

You totally just reminded me to take my prenatals/vits! I totally forgot this morning! Ah! Lol, first day I forgot

i'm feeling very sick  so I got some b6 from boots yesterday they are 10mg so would it safe to take 2 tablets 3 times a day ?
(I really hope they work)

After one week of taking them, i think they do make a huge difference. I missed one dose one day and was feeling a bit sicker. I have the 50 mg tablets which I break into two and take one in the morning and one just after lunchtime. My multivitamin which I take at night has 10 mg. I wish i had known this with my first pregnancy. It would have helped a lot.
