Waiting and Nursing

Dd3 came early in December. I'm not cleared to TTC for at least a year. Fine with me!!

My question is about breastfeeding and those waiting to try. How did you prevent while waiting? No birth control here except FAM.

Hi hon no advice on breastfeeding because I wasnt able to do it due to my immunsuppresents. But wanted to wish u all the best for when u ttc.

We just used withdrawal method. It doesn't work for everyone and its definitely not 100% but it worked for us for years.

Breastfeeding as a contraceptive is only reliable for the first 6months. It’s also only reliable if baby is feeding effectively and on demand. No pacifiers, no bottles, direct feeding only whenever baby wants it. It still isn’t 100% but no contraceptive is.
