Recently my bubs keeps waking up in middle of the night crying and not any normal cry...its a cry i have never heard since he has been born...i don't want to get him out of his crib because his eyes are closed and he is just sucking his fingers and if i do i might just wake him totally...if i do touch him his cry becomes even worse and alot louder...i don't know what to do...the crying can go on for at least an hour and a half...

Iv tried rubbing his back etc but its just not helping...

What shall i do? I don't know whats wrong? xxx

oh gosh, the poor pickle! and poor you! Alasdair has a really horrible scary cry when he wakes up from his evening nap but at least I know that it's because he's waking up. :hugs: I hope that it's something he grows out of or you can find a way to tackle it.

Rhys was doing this and it turned out he had a milk protein intollerence and was waking up in pain. we thought it was nightmares too for a while

Thanks Karen that was interested...

It could be nightmares...but when he was fully awake in the morning...usually i pick him up and take his nappy off for some fresh air whilst i sort myself out and he is usually really happy to lay there nappy free...but this morning as soon as i picked him up he just cryed hysterically...he wouldn't let me put him down either...there were real tears coming out which is very rare...

He seems fine now...i little moody...xx

We were told by a sleep specialist that all babies have nightmares about being in the womb and being born up until 10 months because it is all they can remember. When he does it try to comfort him and he should go back to sleep :D
