Walmart cheapie evaps! Kind of rantish..

This morning I did the UNTHINKABLE and surprisingly a very first for me! I took a test two days after my period ended I know right?! Anyways I had one left and had a super light af with almost zero cramps which is super unusual. But also my boobs which usually stop hurting almost immediately once I start to bleed, are still sore. Which all is fine I’m assuming cycles vary and I’m having lingering hormones! But I tested before work this morning none the less. I almost always see the second line with these tests right away (Indents because I’ve never been PG ) and they have ALWAYS dried with very PURPLE evaps because it’s not really a pink dye but more purple. But they usually wash away with water or at least fade to a very dull purple. I just wanted to show all you ladies that use these just how bad these evaps really are! I debated on even posting these and because I’ve had so many of these I didn’t think it was a big deal. But THIS one is by far the worst one I’ve ever seen! The first picture is the dried test I took after work, and the rest are after the water trick. I’ve tweaked some to show just how PINK it is! Putting this here for you ladies because honestly I’m a little floored over this && never again will I keep these tests hanging around longer than 15 minutes. If even!

If you AF was different I would see your doctor with that test result, it's pretty clear!

Are you sure that's and evap? It's incredibly clear and really colourful! I think if your af was different I would be testing with something else

If be rereading with another test! Did you trst at all before at was due? Could the bleeding have been implantation?

I feel crazy haha. I did test but a week before Af actually came. Sometimes she skips out on me and decides not to show up so even though my boobs were hurting etc. pointing to af I didn’t know what day she would actually come if at all. The last test I took was on the 3rd and after a pretty stark negative on a FRER I gave up and waited for af. I’ve taken soooo many of these first signal tests and they have always given mean purple evaps. This one IS different though which is why I decided to show you girls because I’ve never seen one that bad! I’m almost positive I’m not pg just because I didn’t have spotting like implanation and I know it can vary for each woman and even though af wasn’t nearly as heavy it was still just *enough* to be af! I suppose I could grab another $1 test and just see. It’s just yesterday morning when I took that test I was running late for work but DID have about 7 minutes with it before I left. I kept debating whether it was a line or an indent and then remembered it shouldn’t be THAT hard to tell, stashed it and left. I’m honestly leaning towards evap but damn that’s a good one!!

So I've had really bad evaps on these as well that were pink or purple I guess so the first 3 tests were deff negative but the last 2 are deff positive and yours look like my deff positive! It took about 10 minutes for the line to show even though I was getting very dark frer already by the point I took these. I would suggest you test again and also in the early days when my frer was faint it would take about 20 minutes for the line on these to show up! Good luck sweety!

I truly believe it was just the cruelest cheapie ever!! I will grab just one more on my way home from work later and take it when I get home. Katie it definitely looks like your last two tests though!! That’s crazy.. I was freaked because I never had anything like that on these type of test. However I stopped testing a week before af even came so what if it was a chemical and the bfp is just fading at this point? I’ve never had a chem before So I just don’t even know what to think right now other than it’s a fluke, I just had my period but I’ll test again to make myself feel better Thanks ladies

Can’t wait to see the next test! I didn’t have any implantation spotting with my son and I also didn’t even get a hint of a line until 14DPO... if those do turn out to be evaps, I definitely won’t be using those again either! The only time I have had a line on them before was when I was indeed pregnant. Every other time was stark white. Good luck!

Ems- I’m definitely going to grab one on the way home and take it as soon as I walk in the door! If this wasn’t a fluke I would assume anytime urine would show a blazing bfp which is why I’m almost positive this is just one bad bad little test!

Also I will say this and I’ve written about it before but my sisters first pregnancy she was 19 at the time and she didn’t find it until she was, and I am not kidding, 16 weeks pregnant!!! I remember having to drive her day after day to Publix and gas stations to grab hpts and they always came up negative. I had given up on it and thought she might be *just a little* cray cray lol. But she didn’t. She said she kept testing multiple times a week every single week. One day she came over, lifted her shirt up to a pretty noticeable bump since she’s also super thin like me, and a finally positive test! Took that girl months to finally be able to do that! Every doctor she went to tested her and dismissed her when they saw a negative test .. and at 19 she wasn’t very pushy about it. Her first appointment they told her she was having a boy. My family was in shock but he just turned 9 now She didn’t have any bleeding though .. but she never got her periods in the first place either they were super irregular too (runs in the family.) So she was basically going off a gut instinct there couldn’t even count on the fact of a missed period lol.

Anyways I’m SURE that’s not the case with me l, I’ll test today and be done with it! Unless my boobs stay sore and or I start having any more strange symptoms I’ll be going to see my OB!

Wow, your sister! I had a friend who didn't know she was pregnant with her first. Doctors checked her over, they must have done a test, they prescribed her various things for her weird symptoms which no one realised was down to pregnancy, then at about six months pregnant she sat down to munch a chocolate bar after a long day at work and saw her belly move! She flipped out, got checked out AGAIN and obviously a scan revealed a baby girl. She then gave birth just six week later. Imagine that? Just six weeks to get used to the idea you're becoming a mum for the first time, on your own too, and then the baby decides to make an early appearance. Lol. Happens sometimes, she found out at a good old normal and boring time with her second though, when af was about due lol

DEFINITE fluke!! Left work early and came home and tested! I knew it would be and I honestly don’t know if that was a super bad test .. exp date was fine but that test was NOT. If I hadn’t of just had Af and saw that in my Tww I would've been utterly heartbroken! Always have been wary of these tests but I think I’ll stick to the dollar tree ones if I need cheapies or order more wondfos. Because for some reason I have never gotten one single indent or evap with dollar tree test! Glad I was able to document the deceit with that first signal lol. Thanks ladies!!

That's crazy.. I have never had an evap with those. I have seen people do get them. I must have had only good batches.

Wow I'm sorry. I had some amazing false lines on two CB (from the same pack so I'm guessing they were a faulty batch) which weren't just shadows, they were properly thick blue lines. Had I not used other tests I would have been convinced I was still pregnant, it's awful when they do this

Isn’t it crazy how some people never get evaps and others usually do? I wonder why that is unless it’s just complete luck with tests

Cupcake- My first ever NTNP hpt was a CB and I had no REAL idea other than what I’ve read about the evap lines or false positives && I had been getting immediate + signs on them and I was SO exited! Crushed me! That’s definitely when I started paying more attention to TTC because I never wanted to see a false positive again! That’s why I was so angry at this test lol. I swear if I was still in the TWW my heart would be shattered on to the floor with that test! I’ve got to find a middle ground between cheapies but also not dodgy tests!
