I know this isnt the photo gallery but I thought you all might get a kick out of this hahaha

My daughters halloween costume last year. She was 3 and we did Pippi Longstockings  Her hair is blonde but we sprayed it red and used pipe cleaners in the braids to get them to stick out... cheapest costume EVER!

That is seriously SO CUTE! I used to love Pippi Longstockings! Your daughter is a doll. :)

Awwwww, what a cutie!
I have to admit tho I was afraid of what you would show - "hope it's not gross" lol

^ LOL! That's more in TTC/First Tri... Some Third Tri ladies over share a bit. I remember one time someone posted a pic of their mucus plug I was completely grossed out. Sorry for the over share, but they say misery loves company ;)

Ewwwwww! Although I should wait to see what I will be sharing by then :haha:

LOL I know right? God only knows what we'll find completely of the utmost importance to share by then!

 I was almost scared to open this thread since I'm at work!

She looks GORGEOUS  Awesome costume choice - love the money saving :haha: What you gonna do this year?

I dont know yet... I was thinking since my boys have hockey jerseys, and equipment, dress up like a hockey player and Kenadie has a pink tutu so maybe we can add to it and she can be their cheerleader??? When they were smaller and played dress up all the time with all their costumes I was OK with buying costumes, but now it is literally a one time thing. How can I justify spending $40 on each costume X3 so like $120 for them to be worn once and not fit them again the following year  This is me trying to be frugal

:haha: it's impossible with dressing up things!! I was such a spoiled child, I'd get a disney costume for my birthday every year - my bridesmaids dress at my parent's wedding was Ariel's (from the Little Mermaid) wedding dress from the Disney store!

That sounds like an excellent idea  At such a young age do they really get the importance of having store-bought clothes anyway? That's just my opinion anyway. (this is the frugal 21 year old who has dressed as a witch from Charmed for the past few years - no need for costume just something busty :haha:)

LOL witch from Charmed. I'm loving it.

Kiki - I totally agree with the need to be frugal in this economy. Have you thought about shopping at local thrift shops? I pick around mine to find vintage clothing and props for photo shoots etc and I'm seeing truck loads of Halloween costumes, all of them in amazing shape because, like you said, they're only used once before they don't fit anymore. Paying $7.25 (or less) is a GREAT alternative to paying $120 or more.
