Warning/advice to you all

Thank you for posting this ..... I had heavy growth GBS when my cervix opened at 21 weeks with my daughter, the emergency stitch pierced the sac and she was exposed to the infection ..... no chance of her suviving at such a young gestation :( My close friend gave birth at full term...normal delivery , normal pregnancy... her son died at 10 hours old due to GBS infection. I mentioned GBS to my midwife at 7.5 weeks...she basically brushed me off untill I mentioned how this lady was a close friend of mine... then she became much more helpful...maybe the fact that the hospital just had to pay out an undisclosed amount to my friend for the loss of her baby and admitted all blame? GBS can be such a serious problem.... I would advise everyone to demand a sensitive test xxx

GBS showed up on a swab I did for thrush with the midwife.
If i never suspected thrush I would have never found out. I am to see my midwife next week about what happens next / in delivery. I am nervous, but not at the same time.
