6 days over here! Waiting. The period cramps have come and gone for a couple of weeks and I've had 2 different days where I was sure baby was on it's way out. You'd think I'd know, this is #3 with 2 non-medicated (although long) labors. It's getting hot here, we've had plenty of 30 and 35+ celsius days already and I'm about done...

My bump arrived today at 3.28am after getting to birthing unit at midnight! waters broke when about to push and only used gas and air. Hooray! His name is Eric John and will post a pic when I'm home. X

Oh no anthrogirl surely baby will be soon with all that cramping! Heat is awful when heavily pregnant. A what gestations did your other babies come? X

I had my sweep yesterday morning - it didn't work I'm still pregnant! But it wasn't uncomfortable and she said my cervix was extremely soft and stretchy so very favourable to dilate quickly once I start contracting. Baby's head was slightly LESS engaged than 3 days ago though! Apparently this is ok/normal in second + pregnancies but its still annoying. I spent the day on my feet and by evening I'm sure she was back down, I had a bit of a 'clear out' an then some stron tightenings but it went away and here I am now 40+1 still pregnant

Oh no, but sounds like something might happen soon, can't sweeps stop work for 48 hours? Not sure though!
I woke up at 2:30am with a really sore contraction, got all excited and scared and. Couldn't sleep for a while but nothing else has happened really. It was weird I felt all shaky and cold. I'm taking it as a good sign x

My midwife said If it worked it would be within 24 hours. Anyway, nothing much has happened today so I doubt anything came of it. I am getting random cramps and tightenings but I wouldn't describe them as contractions I actually think I'm overthinking it too, I just really don't want to be induced so need to have this baby before next Wednesday!

Nope! My due date came and went uneventfully. I woke up yesterday to three contraction like feelings that were all about 15 minutes apart and got excited. But once I got out of bed and started moving around they disappeared and never came back.

I go in today for a NST and US to make sure everything's okay in there.

Anyone else having any inklings??

I had my sweep today and unfortunately my cervix is quite closed and posterior, bishops score of 3 so she couldn't do a proper sweep
Still pregnant for at least a few days I think.
Not having many signs here, but you never know thifs can change fast. I have another sweep booked for Friday if I'm still pregnant by then.
She wasn't very gentle, it was rather unpleasant!

Still nothing here. Feeling like this will never end. Thought I woke up with a few contractions last night, but I'm not sure if I was dreaming. I have an appointment tomorrow, so I'm not really sure what is going to happen.

my sweep worked as i was 3cm! Had my baby boy at 9am this morning in water. He weighed a good 8lb 10oz. Good luck to you all!

I could have sworn I was having mild contractions last night, between 10 and 2 ish, I was sleeping through them on and off. But then I just felt all achy like I had a bad stomach ache constantly as well, so I came down stairs took two paracetamol and went back to bed I fell asleep and this morning seemed to have fizzled out to nothing.

I'm am totally disappointed. I have the MW at 10:30 this morning (so in 3 hours time) and she will do another sweep. I hope it works because I'm getting disheartened now. Why won't my body do what it's meant to? It's done it before ffs!

Anyway I hope something happens for you guys too!! Xx

It's okay Greenlady. As im sure you already know, the due dates can be off by a week either way. So don't beat yourself up or get discouraged bc it's not happening yet. It will!

Afm, Everything looked okay for bubs at my appt. Fluids are good. Still 1cm but have progressed to 70% effaced, which is better than last week. If I haven't had her by Friday I go back in to make sure she's still happy in there to keep cooking even longer. After my exam the MW had some blood tinged mucus on her fingers so I'm hoping that's a good sign for things to come. I've been having crampy contraction like sensations ever since the appt but a part if me thinks its just from the exam and not anything productive. Only time will tell I suppose!

Keep your heads up we are so close to our little ones!!

Thanks itsme. I know its an estimated date, it doesn't help when your family are constantly harassing you and reminding you that you're 'overdue'.

My sweep was fine, stil 2cm and very favourable and stretchy, head back down again so thats good. All I need now is some contractions and she reckons it'll be all go after that. I really need to relax because I'm getting so het up over the whole thing. As my husband would say I've 'lost my humour' a bit.

Nothing happening here absolutely nothing. Bit of a bummer really but I'm sure it won't be too long. I really don't want to be induced as I'm having a homebirth so it's a bit concerning!!
I can't believe people have their babies at 37 weeks haha, it's crazy x

Can I join in please? I was due yesterday but just woke up being still pregnant. I saw my doctor on Monday and got my second sweep. Last week I was at 2cm and on Monday she told me I had a very good cervix (no clue what that is suppose to mean lol) and I was now at 3 cm. Baby is now mid-position too (hope thats good?). I've been losing some mucous plug for a week now but still no baby. She doesn't think I'll see her next Monday but well we'll have to see I guess.

Hey Danielle, I bet your next sweep will work, sounds like your cervix is ready (unlike mine grrrr).
I got really excited earlier, had lower back ache and period pains but its gone now
I have my second sweep in two days when I'm 6 days over so I am hopeful still. X
