So yesterday afternoon I am some light brown discharge - I had the same with my daughter at 9 weeks pregnant - I wasn't going to do anything about it but something inside me made me go to the emergency clinic and get checked out.

I should have been 10 weeks - the sac measured at 6+4 with no heartbeat.

I am going into the hospital tomorrow to have the tablets to open my cervix - any advice on this would be helpful.

Trying to keep myself busy - my 3 year old is good at that but it doesn't really make it any easier.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't really know what else to say.

I have also just lost my second and have a three year old. They really do keep you on your toes don't they!

So sorry. I remember you from first tri. For me it was completely unexpected also, despite my fears, I kept telling myself "you've been worried before and baby has been fine at every scan, this will be the same."
I hope that your medical management is going ok. My experience with it has been difficult so far, a lot of pain and bleeding, but I didn't want the surgical route. I passed the baby about 6 hours after having the pessary inserted, some tissue had come before that and more is still coming now over 48 hours later. That's only my experience and no real advice to give you. I found that a shot of rum in some hot water and sugar took the edge off better than painkillers, I guess because it helped to dull the horrific emotions also.

Talia12 sorry for your loss and thank you for your experience.

I had the pessary just over 12hours ago, I have had lots of blood clots and a little pain just slightly worse than period pains but have not passed any tissue yet. I am too scared to go to sleep not that I could probably sleep if I tried.

Hopefully something will happen soon as I really don't want to go down the surgical route x
