Popping over from 2nd tri with a quick question for you ladies - was the trick of baby's heart rate telling the gender true for any of you? Hb at 13 wk 3 days was 161. I never paid attention to what it was with my son or daughter lol.

Nope, heartbeat was always above 160 throughout first and second trimesters for me and it turned out to be a boy. In this last trimester, it is varying between 148 and 154.

No. My son had a higher heartrate than my daughter. Hers was always 135 at appointments and his was about 150+.

Nope, there heart rate will be higher in the first 20 odd weeks and then slow down towards your due date.
Also there heart rate will go up and down depending on if there awake and moving or asleep.
When I was on the monitor (which has been a lot) my little boys heart rate has been anything between 120 to 170.

No.

This is my third baby girl.

My first two, their heart beats were in the 130s.
This baby has been 150+

No. Actually 18 out of 20 old wives tales were wrong for me.

Up until 30 weeks, his heartbeat was 160-175. Now its around 150-160, never below 142.

Mine actually was pretty close, during the first and 2nd tri her heart rate was sitting around 148-155. Now it sits at around 135.

Nope wrong for me too. Mines been between 140-150. I was sure it was a boy but nope we are having a little girl :)

Nope! His heart rate is always in the high 160s and he's very much a boy lol

It was right for me. His heart rate was 138 at my last u/s, it's been about 150 the entire time.

Nope mine have all had high rates and I have two girls a boy and another girl on the way :)

They've clinically proven this old wives tale to be rubbish... I think it's a bit like all gender related things - there's a 50:50 chance it might be right for you!! It was right for DD but team yellow for this one x

Nope. It's proven to be the exact opposite for me. Baby boy's heart rate has always been consistently high 150-160 range. Baby girl however hovers in the 130-140 range.

Nope twice for me. My son had a much faster heartrate than the girl I'm pregnant with now. This girl is consistently under 140 and DS was always over!

With my daughter yes, with this pregnancy, a boy, no. Xx

Awwww lucy!! You're having a boy!! Congrats sweets xx

Im having a girl and today on my ctg the heartrate was in the 120s the whole time, apart from when it fluctuated with movement

Having a boy heart rate pretty consistently in 150s

Nope. Mine were both the opposite. My daughter had a lower heart rate and my son was higher.
