Was your "feeling" about gender correct?

Hi everyone,

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow so hopefully will be finding out the gender within the next month! (I believe my next scheduled scan is at 18 weeks).

Ever since I conceived I've had a feeling it is a boy. Even my partner, the night I told him, straight out said "I'm pretty sure its a boy" - before I even told him my feeling. The feeling has never wavered and it's to the point where when I browse baby name books etc I don't even bother looking in the girls section! At our 13 week scan the ultrasound technician was leaning towards guessing boy but then said "actually no it's too close to guess".

I'm a very "girly girl" and work in women's fashion so before falling pregnant I think I probably more daydreamed about myself with a daughter but ever since we conceived I feel kind of borderline worried that at the scan we will find out its a girl - I think more than anything I just know how surprised I will be! It's a very odd feeling and I know I would definitely be happy either way but I think I would almost feel let down by my instincts and wonder why I felt so strongly and was wrong.

If you've found out the gender - or have with previous pregnancies - was your "feeling" right? This is my first pregnancy so really have no idea how accurate an inkling can be, curious to know!

I was right both times. My first pregnancy, I was sure it was a boy, and it was. This pregnancy, it didn't feel like a boy so I started thinking it was a girl. Right again!

With my first I would have bet money I was having a girl! My mil (who has a history of being correct) told me she thought it was a boy. I got so upset at her for saying such a thing! Turns out she was right, and I was so very wrong! This time I have no feelings either way.

Isn't is strange? It's such an intense feeling I can't imagine that I'm wrong - but obviously some people are!

My first I didn't have a feeling one way or another, but this time I was so sure it was a boy because everything about this pregnancy has been different, but it's another girl!

What a surprise that must've been! Being my first pregnancy I didn't expect to have a feeling either way - since I wouldn't even know what "feeling" to look out for - but sure enough right away my instincts told me boy and it's never changed. So we'll see!

I'm a FTM. I knew from the beginning it was a boy. This was confirmed at our anatomy scan at 21 weeks :)

Everyone else thought it was a girl. I just knew. I don't know how haha.

I know exactly how you feel! I will be genuinely shocked if the scan reveals that its a girl, I can't explain how or why but it's a very strong feeling. Strange!

My intuition is broken lmao. My first pregnancy, my absolute first instinct, like literally when I first peed on a stick, was girl. Then it was taken over by this absolute certainty it was a boy. Then, the literal day of the gender scan, I had this calm certainty it was a girl - and it was.

This time, my intuition immediately was boy, then I was dead convinced it was a girl for the majority up until a few weeks ago when suddenly I just "knew" it was a boy. And it was!

My friend however was very sure her first baby was a girl from the get go and she was. And then this baby, she and her husband didn't even look at girl names, they were calling it "he" and by their chosen boy name from like 4 weeks on, and sure enough it was a boy! So, her intuition is better than mine hahaha. I definitely think you can have a gut instinct though.

As soon as I found out we had conceived I new I was having a boy (I'd also always day dreamed of a girl before being pregnant). Everyone else was certain I was having a girl but I just had that feeling and turns out my instincts were correct :)

With my first EVERYONE (except my MiL) was sure it was a girl, me included. I however refused to jinx it, so I would never say "she" and would add "or he" to any one's statement about the baby. Until we found out, and sure enough it was a girl.

This time many are saying boy (I have no idea who because I am doing a poll for the fun of it) I HOPE girl. But just like last time I refuse to jinx it, so I will not disclose one gender or the other. I will be finding out in 4 weeks what it is.

I thought it was a boy from the first week I knew I was pregnant, just because it was the complete opposite of my pregnancy with our DD. Constantly sick & sleepy. :D 20 week scan showed a little boy moving around in there :D

I was correct. I knew she was a girl quite early on! We wanted to pick names before our gender scan and I had such a hard time picking a boys name. It's strange because I felt convinced my first two pregnancies were boys and my ectopic pregnancy a girl. I always get a strong feeling either way, but I only know I was right this time!

I never had a feeling, but the only gender dream I had with dd was for a girl. We were team yellow for her. This time around, we found out gender at 11 weeks, and apparently my dh only makes girls. :)

I knew i was preg with a boy before i took a test!! Hes now 4! I have no idea what im having now everyone thinks a girl x

This is my fourth pregnancy and the only time I've been right lol.

I was right the first time round and completely wrong this time x

With my girls i knew from the start they was girls, this one im slightly unsure i think i expect it to be a girl because if having to girls already ppl keep saying boy OH says girl but im unsure i feel different from when i was pregnant with my girls so who knows maybe closer to the scan ny intuition will kick in but i dont know lol

I was right with all three of mine. Hubby was convinced first was a girl but I was certain. With secondi thought girl and close family knew this. We never picked a boys name. With third from the moment I did the testi said he. I was absolutely certain. I wouldn't have anyone even mention it could be a girl. No girl name got sorted. I'd never been more certain. Its funny isn't it
