Hi,

We're moving to a new house in a few weeks which has a dishwasher installed.

I'm sure I've read somewhere it is ok to wash and possibly sterilise bottles in a dishwasher.

Anyone got any advice on how to do this? Do I use the tablets etc like normal?

Thanks

I've washed bottles in the dishwasher but found that the teats went a bit funny after a couple of washes and they still need to be sterilised as well. I found as we only put the dishwasher on every other day it is easier just to wash the bottles by hand now. I have 6 bottles and generally wash and sterilise all 6 at the same time then make up all of them and repeat as needed otherwise I would need double or triple the quantity of bottles if I put them in the dishwasher! My midwife was perfectly fine about making up the bottles in advance and storing them in the fridge (also my little one was in the special care baby unit for 3 weeks and they used to make up and store the bottles for a day at a time). In any case it was good enough for us when we were little! x
