I will ask my midwife at my next appointment but I just thought of something that I cant stop thinking about! I recently just transferred over to midwifery from obgyn for my 2nd vbac as they do waterbirths and have said I wont need constant monitoring:happydance:. They said the only things that would arise that would cancel my plans for water-birth was GD, high blood presssure, and premature delivery. Ive only seen them twice and there was no mention about GBS, but I was positive with my son and supposedly was found in my urine at 12 weeks. Has anyone had a waterbirth knowing they were gbs+, with antibiotics? I'm going to be so bummed if this is the thing standing in my way lol.

GBS is transient so get yourself re-checked you can have it one day and not the next its not a once + always + thing. if you want a waterbirth then go for it

I don't have direct experience but my midwife said we could still do waterbirth if I turned up positive for GBS.

Hi there! I just did a natural birth and was GBS+ as well. I didn't birth in the water, but I did labor in there quite a bit. Didn't make a difference to my midwife that I was GBS+, I had a heplock IV on my left forearm, I just had to make sure that I kept that out of the water while I as in there.

Best of luck!!! :flower:
