Hi guys!

I wondered if anybody had a similar experience to me or had any advice -

My LO was advised to wean @ 17weeks due to reflux. We actually waited until 19 weeks as her tongue reflex was still in place up til that point. Since we've started her on purees she has stopped vomiting the milk so it was great. However we noticed around the same time that she had a constant runny nose and mucusy poo/sick. she also became alot more fussy at night. I just thought it was a bit of a cold and left it at that but after two weeks i thought perhaps it was a bit more and maybe a reaction to the purees?

so i decided to take her off her puree for 48 hours and see what happened and miraculasly the snot puddle stopped! BUT the reflux has started again :dohh:

i'm at the end of my teether and we dont see her OB for another 3 weeks so should i take her to doctor/HV? I'm completley bamboozled by it!!

I'd stick to baby rice or little banana at this age if you'r weaning due to reflux hun. When we started weaning at 20 weeks due to reflux, the only thing that helped was baby rice, but we had to stop weaning after 2 weeks as he dropped his milk intake to less than 12 oz in 24 hrs. You can start introducing other solids again close to 6 months & see how it goes.
