Me and OH have decided to get married, yet waiting for a ring or proper proposal but we've decided to!
We're going to wait at least a year, ive always wanted to do that, gives us time in case anything goes wrong. Which im sure wont happen :)

However, i want a very simple, laid back wedding abroad, on a beach or something.
Has anyone done this?

Close family and friends only, i want a very simple white cotton dress or something, maybe a maxi dress or sun dress but something light and beachy and my daughter in the same thing!!

I cant wait, but has anyone been anywhere specific thats lovely? how much did it all cost? did you go with a certain company or do it yourself?

Thanks!!!

Hey luv,

I was toying with this - sounds like bliss, unfortunately, my inlaws had other plans.....
I was looking at the amethus beach in paphos, cyprus...

Their brochure was really good and spelled out the costs of everything for you.

Hi

We set off 9 wks on Thursday to the Domincan Republic. We have to be in the resort for 5 working days before we can marry so have booked a 2wk holiday.

There is 12 adults 5 children altogether that are coming including us.

If you decide to book abroad def check everything out like how long you need to be in the country, documents, Turkey send you off for blood tests..

We paid £2300 for our holiday for family of 4. £1000 for documents which you have to send off to the common office for certifying then you send to Domincan embassy for translations.
We booked with Thomas cook and when you get to hotel you have your own wedding coordinator. You book a wedding package ours only cost $650 which we pay when we get there. Our ceremony will be on the beach.

If you have anything to ask at all pleased PM me and i will be happy to help! x

I got married in Key West in Florida last year on the beach and it was amazing. We got married by a lady called colleen who runs the company https://www.gettingmarriedinkeywest.com/ over there, they done everything for us and were very helpful. In florida you do need to go to the courthouse at least the day before to get a marriage licence but it only takes about an hour

This is us on the beach - Colleen's husband Gary does the photography
