Week 39 check-up - things are happening!

Well, I just returned from my week 39 check up and the doctor say's I'm 100% effaced and 2 cm dilated! He said he would be surprised if I didn't have the baby in the next couple of days!

I'm very excited but also feeling like there are few more things I need to do around the house before the baby comes.

Thanks Maple Leaf and Gia7777. Here's the latest: had some bleeding this afternoon after the internal exam (as the doctor said I would). I happened to pass a clot so I called the doctor's office, and they told me to head to the hospital to get checked out. At OB-Triage, they monitored the baby for a couple of hours and said that everything was great. The bleeding subsided and we were sent home. That doctor said that we cold be back tomorrow or anytime over the next week ... we're hoping it;s more like tomorrow!

Well, I hope we're on our way. Contractions started this morning around 4am and have been pretty much the same for the past 7 hours: about 30-40 seconds long every 15-20 minutes. Keep your fingers crossed that they continue on! I'd hate for it to stop!
