Hi All! I'm wondering if you think my weight gain is normal. I will be 19 weeks this Monday...

I don't own a scale at home so the only time I weigh myself is at my Dr appointments or if I happen to be at a friends house. My last weigh in at the Dr was my 16 week appointment ( I was technically 17 weeks though) and I weighed 140. I just weighed myself at a friends house and I'm 144.6.

I am 5'7 and before I found out I was pregnant I weighed about 128-130 (it would fluctuate). I've always been pretty slender, but this past year I put on a few extra pounds which pushed me to the 130 mark before I got pregnant, but I still seemed healthy and slender. Anyway , is it normal to weigh almost 145 at 19 weeks making my weight gain about 15 lbs so far?? ??

Hi, I have gained about 15lbs and am 18 weeks. I think it is on the high side, but not unusual or anything to worry about. I was absolutely starving for the first few months, but my appetite is a lot less now, so the weight gain should slow.

ps judging by your avatar pic you're not remotely overweight!

I'm 19 weeks and have put on 8lbs. My starting weight was also 130lbs and I'm 5'6 I guess everyone's different and I was worried I'd put on too much but it has all gone to my boobs and belly! I'm sure your midwife would tell you if it was too much! X

im 5"8 pre preg weight 130lbs and have gained 7 lbs since preg. not really showing yet.

My weight gain at 22 weeks is 3lbs but that's on the low side. For my weight I should of gained around 7lbs.

I've gained 9lbs as of 21 weeks. I started off at 8 stone (112lbs) and I'm 5'2.

This site is quite good and will tell you if what you've gained is about right:

I wouldn't worry about that amount of weight gain. I'm 5'8 and by 20 weeks I'd put on about 18 pounds! My bump is big (all in front) and my boobs have gone from an A cup to DD. I'm not worried at all. I eat healthy and workout at the gym still. The rest of me hasn't changed much. My mother had 4 children and put on 3 stone (42 pound) for each pregnancy no matter how she ate. She would always loose 2 stones by 6 weeks dr check up and the remaining stone within the next 6 months. I think I take after her. Sometimes for some women during pregnancy the body holds onto everything (water and fat) and others don't. For this reason I have stopped comparing myself to other women bump size, weight gain etc.
