Weight gain on clomid?

How common is weight gain on clomid? This is only my second cycle and just wondered if anyone had noticed if it makes you put on weight? Does it give you a appetite? I have noticed it makes me bloated and i have put on about 5lbs in the past month and a half! Was completely shocked when i got on the scales have been feeling a little more podgy but never expected that much! Have noticed im getting the munchies ALL the time.

Im on my first round of clomid and Im hungry all the time as well. Ive tried everything and nothing has helped. Im just munching little and often now as I know if i eat a big meal ill just be hungry again in 30 mins anyway so whats the point.

Hi girls,

I had 6 rounds of Clomid and yep it can make you gain weight Some of its just bloat but most of it turns out to be extra weight Best of luck and if you get your BFP its all worth it!!

I have not been hungry and this is the end of my first round. However, I do try and go to the gym mon-fri at 6am and walk, I dont make it all the time. I dont weigh anymore than I normally would

I have gained about 10 lbs. on clomid & I only did 2 cycles thus far. I am not a bad eater; a lot of fruits & vegetables & I workout out about 5x a week. I am actually going to stop now b/c I do not like the way i've been feeling while on clomid plus I ovulate regularly. I am going for a HSG within the next 2 weeks. I've heard of people getting pregnant shortly after they get that test done b/c the dye basically clears out your tubes (if they are not completely blocked), so hopefully this does the trick.

You are very lucky then. I didn't take it this month, haven't told the doc yet that I stopped b/c I had an HSG done last week & everything was good So, I want to see what happens with my next cycle first, before I mention it to him.... Do you have regular cycles?

I am on month 3 of clomid. I have 6 to 7 lbs extra no matter what I do. Exercise and diet isnt taking it off. Has to be from clomid....If it works it is worth it but how frustrating..............
