The scales have stayed the same for me this week and my period just arrived today.

I have a very irregular cycle (26-63 days) and this is my first one since starting my weightloss journey.

I have felt a bit bloated for about 6 days.

Is this normal for most women? Will I notice a more stable weightloss again next week do you think?

I almost always maintain during my period. I think I was able to lose half a pound one week last year, and didn't believe the scale. I also bloat up and look a couple months pregnant. It's very frustrating! :dohh:

As long as you're staying in a calorie deficiency you should see a loss. It usually takes my body a few days to revert back to normal and for the scale to drop after my period.

Thanks very much! Yes I have maintained my usual eating, which has been hard.

It's definitely hard around that time, especially with any cravings! It's also good to have a day or two a week where you eat more than you do the rest of the week, to help keep your body guessing. :flower:

Sadly I already did that Monday and Tuesday! I could almost cry, haha, I want junk food so badly.

I relayed the information to my OH whos charming response was to raise his eyebrows and suggest my vagina must have a straw and drink toilet water...men! He doesn't see how hormones can make weight fluctuate.

I always gain 5-7 lbs. When I'm actively trying to lose weight I still gain 1-3 lbs. Drinking water can help with bloating but for me I just have to ride it out. Ovulation too, it sucks!
