I'm struggling with weight.
I've gain 15lbs since we started ttc. I've been diagnosed with PCOS, so I'm not sure if that's part of the issue.
I just don't know where to start to get this under control. I'm an emotional eater, so that a big problem going through such an emotional journey. But I have also backed off working out like I used to because I'm afraid of stressing my body too much and frankly the ttc depression has made me unmotivated.

Anyone else struggling with this? Anyone else figure out something that works for them?

I gained like 30 lbs since I got married and a good chunk of it was from TTCing because I would think I was pregnant and get all excited and be like "eating for two"
during the TWW and indulge in all my "cravings" and whatever. It didn't help that my MIL would have us over for dinner once a week and she cooks everything in butter and serves bread with every meal.

I have a lot of chronic pain so I found it really hard to do any intense exercise and even when I did I wouldn't lose any weight...so far the only thing that has worked for me is I got a dog last year and just in walking him often I managed to lose 20 lbs so far. I also made peace with my curvy fatness and learned to love myself where I am at as that is the best thing. Research has actually shown that people tend to lose weight and keep it off better even if they aren't focusing on weight loss if they just focus on positive aspects of themselves (even non weight related...like say if you were good at art or something). I think that idea and also just the thought that it took a while to put on the weight that it is okay to take a while to get rid of it too, is a good thing to have in your head. I would get stuck on not losing weight after 2 weeks or 3 weeks and lose hope and go back to not exercising or eating crap. But now, though I am still overweight and have a lot to lose still, I am happy with how I look (most days) and my quest is more "be a better me" rather than "lose X amount of weight." And I don't put too much pressure on what I am eating, I just try to only eat when I am hungry and stop when I am no longer hungry etc. I still eat "bad" food, and I eat out often, but when I am not eating out I try to eat less and eat better and it evens out I think.

That was long, sorry, hope that helped.

I too have gained weight while tttc. This time last year I was 130 and now I am 155! The stress is overwhelming! I'm worried about working out during the 2ww because I've read it can cause problems with implantation. But then once I get my period I eat and eat and eat! Its a vicious cycle!!

I hear ya shabby! I was around 130-135 for years, then stopped bcp and went up to around 145.
But I can't do the HIIT I was doing before and worry about messing things up in the tww so I spend too much time sedentary!
Ugh.

LOL I gained a good 50 lbs the first year TTC and have not been able to lose it. I am an emotional eater and it has just been so depressing the longer this happens I cant help myself. Now with the hormones I am on it is even harder not to gain more as I am STARVING all the time.

If you can get it in check which you can Do! Good luck ladies.
