weight gain

went and got katie weighed today for the frst time in about 3 weeks, she's only 14lb1

she's dropped 2 lines on the chart. had to speak to the HV and she said they'd normally refer them to the pediatrician if they drop 2 lines, but cos i've started FF they they're not gona. So basically my milk's been dryin up and she's been gettin nothing

she's such a happier baby today aswell, a lot more alert and she's not all whingy like she has been. it's like someone's taken my baby and swapped her for another one overnight! but i feel kinda bad cos her weight started trailing off at 11weeks and the HV kept saying oh, stick at BF its best etc etc, just keep an eye on her.

i was convinced ages ago that it was my milk drying up, should have listened to my mummy instincts, but i didnt want to give up BF anyway, so i probs wouldnt have!!

try not to feel bad. you have given her the best for as long as possible and now its time to change. You will notice a steady weight gain now you have switched so im sure she will get back on track

hopefully her weight will pick back up again hun once she's settled on the formula

Don't worry - I'm sure she's fine. Now that she's on formula her weight will probably pick up a bit xx

14lbs is a good weight! Sometimes when you start solids it can decrease your supply... I dont know about it though.
