How soon after becoming pregnant did you notice weight gain?

How much was your weight gain in the first trimester?

I am not pregnant, or atleast have not had a positive.

My diet has not changed, and we walk our dogs for 1 hr everynight, plus I started the gym this week.

I have gained 8lbs this past two weeks. Out of no where, with no apparent reason.

BFN's all around, late AF, with no signs of coming soon. If I was pregnant I could be 2 1/2 weeks or I could be 6 1/2 weeks. This is going off of conception, as I am not sure when or if I ovulated this cycle.

My periods have been regular all year (have been irregular in the past) and this is the first time its late!

Putting me at 20 days late for AF.

Given my lack of positive pregnancy test, I am just assuming I'm late again. But why the sudden weight gain??

My weight has been incredibly steady for the past 2 years. Nothing has changed. Whyyyyy?

To answer your first question, I didn't gain any weight in my first trimester with either of my pregnancies (I actually lost weight during my last pregnancy, but I think it was hormone related and I MC at 7 weeks).

8 lbs is alot to gain in two weeks, especially if you don't notice any reason for it. I would talk to your Dr. I think it could be caused by hormone problems (thyroid comes to mind, but I am not a doc). Weight gain and irregular periods are also a sign of PCOS. While it could all be a coincidence I think it would be worth talk to your Dr, just to see what he/she says.

I have gained 4 pounds so far and i'm nearly 9 weeks, so i don't think you woudl gain that much in 2 weeks? Not sure what could have caused it, are you bloated?

I don't notice my body looking any different really....

And I had a blood test yesterday for PCOS and hypothyroidism.

I just called my doctor's office to see when I can get my results and they already had them in.

Nothing abnormal.

Effing body.

i didnt gain any weight until i was in my second tri.. if the hpts are comin back bfn go and get a blood one done they come in more accurate.. good luck :)

Is it very humid where you are? Sometimes that can cause a lot of water retention. Also eating a lot of sodium high foods or take out food....especially Chinese food!

Did they check your urine protein levels? Sometimes excess amount of protein in your urine comes also with rapid weight gain. THe whole story then gets usually linked to your kidneys.

My diet hasn't changed from the usual, and I've maintained my usual excersise.
I've started the gym this week, but that's because of the weight gain.
