I'm wondering if there's a correlation between head circumference percentiles and crawling as well as weight percentiles and crawling. For example, my daughter was in the upper percentiles for weight (75th ish) but fairly proportionate to her height percentile (maybe about 85th percentile) but her head percentile was between 10th and 25th. She crawled on the earlier side at 7.5 months.
My son, however, is above 90th percentile for height and about the 50th for weight and has a head percentile that's below 25th. He started crawling before 6 months and mastered it by 6 months. With less weight and a smaller head, it seems that being an early crawler may not be 100% down to his temperament.
Does your baby seem to follow that pattern of head size and weight correlating with when your baby crawled (or hasn't crawled yet)?
